Seriously, I hate the weather here. Today, jogging in a T shirt, two days ago, walkin around the frozen waterfall at platte. But there is hope, in nine days ill be riding a bike across the golden gate bridge enjoying some hopefully awesome california weather.
Hey.. didnt plan it out this way, but this is kind of cool. Went to platte and farted around for a couple hours. Never been there with out a bike, the other half of the park is some good fun.
Hit Manawa up at 9:45 am today, thinkin itd still be cold enough for the ground and snow to be frozen. Epic fail. In the shade it was pure ice, in the sun it was mud already. Came back home and went joggin. hoo-fucking-ray.
I made it from my apt to big lake and back in around an hour and a half yesterday. Slow, but the fact that I was able to breath comfortably for the whole ride is a big deal. Went to the allergy specialist this morning for some tests. When looking at the test results on my back, the nurse said "wow" when the doctor came in first thing he said was "youre a disaster". According to the tests I am allergic to every living thing in the state of Nebraska that will bother your allergies except Oak trees. First thing i thought... oak trees.. wtf... second thing, who the fuck besides me is allergic to maple trees?
So, I still dont have a fucking job. Im getting pretty close to abandoning hope of continuing to use my geography degree. In light of the realization that I'm probably going to have to find a new line of work, I sat down to write a non-gis resume. For shits and giggles I went to the office website and started browsing through the templates where I found this gem that surprisingly only had a 3 star rating. Ive found the resume that will solve all my problems.
